#15. What Does Personalized Myth Do for You? How’s Myth Important in your Life?

Posted by khieriel on March 12, 2008

Since we are Spirits/Souls, the energies we relate to most are images and to those images in motion like a film. These moving images inform a story as we recognize in dreams, highly symbolic with harmonics that tell many stories of upper and lower Dimensions because we are multi-dimensional.

However, since we identify with being bodies and egos named Jack or Jill, we get caught up in our daily melodramas which we take so seriously that we call the activities reality!

The Teacher, our Higher Self, tries to correct our delusions by impelling visions of greater reality. Ordinary dreams may be of our brain and ego overflow of the day’s events, but visions that have strong shaping power come filled with symbol which may reach the level of Archetype. Archetypal images come from the Divine Source and our Collective Unconsciousness (perhaps the same thing…).

We see this ongoing film in our dreams . . . and in our waking lives. Modern mythologist, Raven Kaldera says, “As the potential masters of our own personal mythology, we can always choose to embrace the gifts of our archetypal patterns, as well as release those that no longer serve us. (That’s the great structuring value of Myth and Astrology.) And once you see them, you’ll find that you’ve given yourself more choices about what paths you want to be on, and which you feel you’re done with. It’s how the right stories can change anyone’s world.

Identifying personal archetypes in yourself like the role of a Trickster and seen Astrologically with Mercury square to Saturn, and a semiquare to Venus/Sun can show a Peter Pan resisting growing up, refusing responsibility, dodging his creativity, and detesting his father. You can choose to work on the archetype of Puer Aeternis (Eternal Boy) to nurture him to maturity in yourself.

Myth and dream become personal in self-image, as I see it. If you can modify your self-image you can make almost immediate changes. For example, if you see yourself as a terrified person running to save your life from a fire in your house, and you suddenly discover there is no fire, your self-image alters immediately . . . and your blood pressure and pulse lessen, your stress melts away. You change.

#14. Myth is Immensely Important in Your Life though you may not know

Posted by khieriel on March 10, 2008

A Myth is not a false Greek tale, as Westerners have come to think of it. Actually it has a trueness that goes well beyond an accurate account of reality. It encompasses a story and meaning that speak volumes to each hearer/reader that reaches past conscious knowing.

Our great mythologists like Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell show us that Mythology everywhere the same, beneath its varieties of costume. They are spontaneous productions of the psyche” Campbell writes, “and each bears within it, undamaged, the germ power of its source.” That “source” is much more that one’s conscious memories. The Source is Archetypal and presents the power of human dream, hope, experience told in Global mythic forms.

Campbell again: “Myth is the secret opening through which the inexhaustible energies of the cosmos pour into human cultural manifestation,” so religions, science, technology, arts, philosophies of primitive and historic man, and “dreams that blister sleep, boil up from the basic, magic ring of myth.”

Okay, our very foundations are built on Myth. What’s that have to do with our daily lives?

The answer is that You are your own hero. You’re the one you’ve been waiting for to liberate you, but we all need help—lots of it. Theseus, Hercules, and all the heroes needed help too. And Myth and Astrology are two forms of help we humans have been given.

What Myth whispers in the ear of your Unconscious? You may have one dominant Myth—like Repunzel waiting to be freed by the Prince, but probably you have quite a number of them running around in your psyche and perhaps calling the shots of your responses. There are Global myths associated to each of your planets and Stars to which you might vibrate.

In addition you have your personalized Myths (your dreams and stories you’ve bought into—like a successful modern woman must be able to work her job skillfully, be the good mother, and participate meaningfully in the community all at one time. New Myths multiply of suchlike lady heroes constantly in magazines, film, and TV. Are you running on the treadmill of that Myth and kicking yourself for underachieving?

#13. What Spirituality, Astrology, Meditation, and study have taught me.

Posted by khieriel on March 10, 2008

Spirituality, Astrology, Meditation, and study have taught me. We humans are Spirits believing we are bodies but instead are merely trapped in mind, which is the obstacle to Truth and Self-recognition. We live in a Grand Delusion.

Together with the Collective shaping of our lives and Karma (urges and mandates from past choices and actions), our minds trap us innocent and unaware Souls/Egos.

Mostly it’s our self-image beliefs that wrap steel bands around us–but we cling to these stories that are generally subliminal yet appear to us in sleep dreams and in the waking dreams of our outpictured lives. What you see is you!

Your mother may’ve been a witch—or Not. What’s important is the story you’ve told yourself. The Stars and planets symbolize your stories and humanity’s in a miraculous manner that focuses these Myths into your life. The Astrology chart is a Grand Map of you on multiple levels, but still dependent on what beliefs, values, and energies you bring to each moment. You do have some free will, though not much, because your past beliefs and choices have engrained and entrenched you.

One marvelous Myth that some of us carry is of the Hero, but misinterpreted as I can save myself. I can achieve Liberation on my own. I don’t need help. Very WRONG. The great Saviors like Buddha tell of many past lives of Work that required Guides and Teachers, but again the illusory mind self-inflates.

#12. Are you fulfilling your life’s intentions? Just surviving? Just playing?

Posted by khieriel on March 6, 2008

The Title offers some heavyweight questions—ones that I as your Astrologist wouldn’t choose to tackle for you. The uncomfortable fact is that we don’t generally have any way to measure whether we’re in fulfillment, survival, or play-time.

We can’t tell from our life going smoothly or harshly unfortunately. Positive or grief will probably be a brief (6 mos. to 3 year) experience; and a harsh period may in truth be fulfilling your spiritual or psychic needs.

Perhaps the first place to start is to ask yourself this very question: Am I fulfilling my life’s intentions? Just surviving? Just playing? What answer comes up? What answer does your pen write if you’re holding it with your non-dominant hand?

The question is then begged, WHAT ARE MY LIFE’S INTENTIONS?

Good clues, or perhaps entire answers, are found in the chart: Look at the positions of the Pluto, the Sun, and the North and South Nodes. How are you actualizing the spiritually powerful Outers of Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto?

The last four of these have only come into our modern knowledge in the last two hundred years. In fact Chiron was only discovered in 1977. They have come to midwife us into higher spiritual knowledge and self-recognition!

Send me your birth date, birth time, and birth place, and I’ll discuss your chart in these terms. I won’t use your name if you don’t want me to. This is FREE. Be Brave! and help develop our community.

#11. Spending Money on Counseling, Especially in Hard Times

Posted by khieriel on March 6, 2008

My years of study in India, in meditation, and in transpersonal-spiritual areas of life and teachers have led me to be strongly persuaded to viewing humanity as spirit beings using a physical body for emotional, mental, and spiritual growth.Nearly all spiritual teachers and religions have taught that this is true, so I want to live my life to maximize my purpose for living. I must determine my Intention (to become compassion, to live in harmony without anger, or to do whatever I have decided my life needs). But how can I do this?

We generally select ego-indulgence since we don’t know what else to do to bring pleasure. We simply don’t know who we are, why we’re here, what to do, or how to do it. But underneath our personalities we are learning how to contact who we are as spirits. That’s where Astrology comes in.

Astrology is simply a major tool to help us know what we are and what’s going on in our being. Astrology is a guru, a wise crone, an inner guide, a wise teacher who knows everything about us–from the inside out. So we can consult Astrology (or Tarot) in confidence that our Inner Guide will always lead and teach us correctly. For some, this is faith in God(dess).

While some sects have decided Astrology is godless, the truth is that Astrology is woven into the very spiritual fabric of the universe–in the celestial bodies themselves. Planetary vibrations aren’t different from our frequencies or the Earth’s; in fact, they’re identical. The resonance between celestial energies and our own is why Astrology is precise and individual.

WE NEED HELP HERE. Life is hard for most (probably all) of us, because even if we have our material comfort zone taken care of, the emotions, the mind, and “other people” bring dilemmas. Astrology is one of the tools that can put us in touch with our True Self. And probably that’s what life is all about–and helping others to do the same.

Money is needed for the body–food, shelter, medical, etc. But it’s also just as badly needed for the Soul, the mind, and the emotions. And most people don’t really know how to feed these three properly, and perhaps at all.

In hard times we still must buy food, and we still must feed the Soul, mind, and emotions. If we don’t, then we can’t cope. We get unjustifiably angry, or filled with anxiety and confusion, or move towards divorce, isolation, aimless pursuits, and pain.

To live well (with quality and fulfillment) we must deal with ALL our being. That may mean reshuffling priorities to include money for the other necessities of life.

#10.6. Announcement: Presentation for You, GP 3rd Thurs

Posted by khieriel on February 17, 2008

Feb 21, 2008 Presentation with Focus on Star-based Astrology.

Thurs. Tally Ctr Title: The New/Ancient Use of Fixed Stars

109 N C St,

Grants Pass

(across from Court House)

Come learn about putting the Stars back into Astrology. Today’s Astrologers use Planetology with only one Star, the Sun, but what about the other 300 Stars we see in 88 Constellations? It’s a giant task, but we can do it.

This is a new but ancient science/psychology. The Sumerian/Babylonians handed this down to the Egyptians, Greeks, and Arabs. Now since we’ve recovered this knowledge we get to tap into Fixed Stars in our lives in an even greater, more spiritual way than our ancestors and conventional Astrology.

Join us for an investigation of Spica, Aldebaran, Fomalhaut, Vega, and others—and bring your birth time. We can check out your Heliacal Rising and Setting Stars, while we change how Astrology thinks about the heavens and your Spiritual Path.

#10. The Sacred Arts of Astrology

Posted by khieriel on January 22, 2008

Astrology is sacred, and it represents a combination of many arts. Sacredness has to do with worthiness of respect; a spiritual practice for the Soul. I am reverent about Astrology because it shows me doors that grow me into the Beyond. It takes my ego to who I really am as Soul.

Actually I don’t have a Soul. . . . I am a Soul masquerading as an ego believing I’m a mind and body.

Astrology is a tool composed of many arts that give guidance—rather like answered Prayer, the main gift from the Spirit. When I want to understand why I fell off the roof and broke my hip, I get accurate detailed explanation in my Astrology chart (transits) that give me direction and growth if I choose to honor the Answers.

Astrology doesn’t exclude God; it makes a telephone call or text message to Her/Him.

The Art is understanding the reply. Spirit speaks to us in the language of symbols, maybe images like a dream, or events in waking life. Astrology is made up symbols, and when we have relationship to these, we have keys to hearing Spirit’s voices.

#9. North and South Nodes: Soul Indicators

Posted by khieriel on January 21, 2008

Nodes describe your whole incarnation. I mean that the South Node of your past describes a great deal of what qualities and events you’ve brought to this lifetime, and the North Node tells what you’re likely to do with them, to put it simply.

The Moon’s Nodes constitute a mini-chart and offer Solutions and descriptions of what you came to this life equipped with, along with your goals and intentions.

Growth comes from utilizing the best of the South Node to augment and develop the skills of the North Node. It’s a balance. Too much of the South Node or knee-jerk use of it is a rutthe same trapping patterns from the past.

What’s interesting and mystifying is that the Nodes are not bodies like a planet, asteroid, or Star. They’re intersecting points of two Great Circles: The Ecliptic (the path of the Sun and planets) and the Prime Meridian (the Great Plane that is implied by the perpendicular circle to the Equator.

Node-Diagram

In other words, a Node is a “crossroad.”—an intersection like where two ships seem to have crossed the same point. The point has NO substance, but the impact in our lives does, a great mystery.

I recommend two magnificent books on the Nodes:

1. Jan Spiller’s Astrology for the Soul

2. Martin Schulman’s Karmic Astrology: The Moon’s Nodes and Reincarnation

Spiller is a How-to for your life. Schulman takes you into your messy depths so that you can come out a Saint.
